Ukulele from Scratch

Suitable for complete beginners and for those with a bit of playing who wish to brush up on their basic skills.

In addition to learning the basic of ukulele playing  (picking melodies as well as strumming chords), students also work on improving general musicianship, including ear-training and reading standard music notation for ukulele. For the latter, we use a carefully-scaffolded approach that allows you to learn to read music at your own pace.

​​​​​​​​​After this class, students are ready to join a local strumming group or program.  To join our Ukulele Orchestra,  students must take Level 2 Ukulele first.

Don't have a ukulele (yet) ? We have a few classroom ukuleles that are available (for in-class use only).
