Acting with Zoe

Zoe is a multi-disciplinary artist, born and raised in Nanaimo.  She returned to Nanaimo in 2023 after spending 25 years in Toronto working in full-time artist/educator (music, theatre, speech arts). She created Nanaimo Young People's Theatre in 2022, and currently serves as Artistic Director and a full-time instructor.

In addition to teaching, professional work  includes acting in theatre, film, and TV,  producing and directing theatre, as well as playwrighting.  Formal education includes a B.A. (Honours) in Drama from the University of Alberta, as well as advanced certificates in Speech Arts & Drama from the Royal Conservatory of Music. (In 2025, she won the National Gold Medal for Level 10 Speech Arts).  She also spent time studying dance (ballet, jazz),  physical theatre (clown), as well as acting for the camera  (film, TV, auditioning).

Zoe loves teaching acting and theatre to all ages and is committed to building space where each student can grow, develop their own voice, and explore their potential.​​​​
